Take Admission in L.L.B.
Aspirants who are interested in legal profession can pursue L.L.B course after 12th or graduation. Those who want to pursue L.L.B after 12th can look for a 5 year Integrated L.L.B course while 3 year L.L.B course is available for graduates. The advantage of five year course is that the candidates will get the benefit of doing B.A, B.Com or B.B.A course along with the L.L.B course and save one year. LLB after 12th
B.A LLB, B.Com LLB, BBA LLB and B.S.L LLB are the 5-year integrated courses available in law. This course not only covers theoretical areas but also include practical sessions like court attendance and training at legal aid centers. Research projects are also there in the course structure.

The most popular law entrance exam conducted for the admission to prestigious law schools in India is Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). Law School Admission Test (LSAT), NALSAR Test and National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Entrance Test are the other popular entrance tests.
After pursuing 5-year integrated course, one can join any of the post graduate diploma programs in field like Criminology, Forensic Sciences, International Law, Taxation and Labour. It is also possible for them to pursue postgraduate degree courses like LLM.
On successful completion of integrated LLB course, one can practice law after the enrolment with Local/State/Central Bar Council. They can start up their career as apprentices or assistants. LLB after graduation
Three year LLB course includes only law subjects as the aspirants already posses an undergraduate degree. Both theoretical and practical sessions are there in the course structure.

LLM is the most suitable higher study option available for the aspirants who have completed three year LLB course. Even so, they can pursue diploma courses like Post Graduate Diploma in International Law and Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Laws.
After completing three year LLB course, one can pursue their career as lawyers, legal consultants, oath commissioner or company secretary. But they need to enroll with Bar Council and gain experience as a practitioner of Law.
Which is better?
The main advantage of five year LLB course over three year LLB course is that the candidates can save one year. They can select either B.A LLB, B.Com LLB, BBA LLB or B.S.L LLB according to their interest. They need not pursue the concerned undergraduate course and then join LLB as an additional course. Integrated course will give them an opportunity to complete their law course in a continuous stretch without any break. It is better for those who have taken a decision to pursue a legal profession after 12th. If the candidates are interested to pursue LLB as an additional course after graduation, then three year course is better for them.
